If you go down to the woods today…you’ll find cycle trails and walking routes, sculptures and games, not to mention wildlife!
Home to a diverse range of plants and animals, the Guisborough Forest and Walkway runs along the former track bed of the Middlesbrough to Whitby railway line which leads to Guisborough Forest, Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park and Eston Moor where you’ll find woodlands, wetlands and grasslands amongst the waymarked walking trails.
Play areas will keep youngsters entertained, and there are several trails to help visitors connect with the natural environment, with a variety of habitats able to be explored. Three walking routes take in natural landmarks like the Hanging Stone, and wide-ranging views over Teesside and the coast are on offer.
