There are many things you may imagine encountering on a walk in Middlesbrough, but dinosaurs probably aren’t top of the list.
Teessaurus Park is a former slag heap site on the southern bank of the River Tees, which has been taken over by a set of fearsome beasts who roam a 10 acre urban grassland – never fear though, these ancient creatures are pretty static!
The large painted steel sculptures of dinosaurs are ripe for exploration, and also make a pretty exciting climbing frame for daring young souls; if you know your triceratops from your stegosaurus, or fancy checking out mammoths or t-rex’s, it makes for a fun wander!
