Celebrate living sustainably and enjoy a wealth of art and culture as the free Festival of Thrift returns to the region, this time in a new home at Whitehead Park in Billingham on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September.
Creative Director Tanya Steinhauser explains what visitors can expect: “We are very excited to be launching in our new home in Billingham. The festival has a very clear vision to create positive, sustainable change in people and places and the programme we are developing aims to do just that bycelebrating ways to live more sustainably and look after the planet we call home.”
At the award-winning festival visitors can enjoy live performances, street theatre, live music, dance and performance, all with an eco-conscious spirit in mind. Talks and workshops will enhance the programme, providing an insight into how people can live sustainably, while stalls and plenty of food and drink options add to the festival atmosphere.
